Attorneys and researchers in Pasco County, including Land O' Lakes and Lutz, can now search court case information from all 67 Florida counties through a single online subscription service.
The Pasco County Clerk & Comptroller's Office announced the availability of CaseAccess on Monday, Oct. 12. The service costs $20 per month or $200 per year and is accessible through the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal, according to the clerk's official announcement.
The service, also reported by The Laker/Lutz News, allows subscribers to research cases across county lines without navigating separate county clerk websites.
One platform connects all 67 counties
CaseAccess is a statewide initiative developed through a collaboration between the Florida Courts E-Filing Authority and Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers.
The platform uses the Comprehensive Case Information System, or CCIS, to bring information supplied by county clerks into one searchable database.
Pasco County Clerk & Comptroller Nikki Alvarez-Sowles said the service will make court research more efficient.
"CaseAccess enhances customer access to search case information from all 67 Florida counties, saving them the time and effort of searching each clerk's website separately," Alvarez-Sowles said in the announcement.
The platform provides a consistent statewide search experience, daily case information updates and secure access through the existing E-Filing Portal.
Tara S. Green, chair of the E-Filing Authority board and Clay County clerk, said the service improves efficiency while preserving the responsibility of individual clerks.
"It reduces the time spent navigating separate systems while maintaining the Clerks' role as the source of the official court record," Green said in a statement published by The Florida Bar.
Free public access remains available
The new subscription service does not eliminate free public access to court case information.
Individual county clerks, including Pasco's, will continue providing public case information through their existing websites at no charge.
CaseAccess is an optional service intended primarily for attorneys, legal professionals and public researchers who regularly search records across multiple counties.
According to the Pasco clerk's CaseAccess information page, subscription fees support technology, processing, security, daily updates, maintenance and customer service.
The fee covers the convenience of statewide searching rather than the purchase of public court information.
The clerk's office emphasized that CaseAccess is a research tool, not the official court record. Anyone needing an official document or the most current case status should consult the clerk's office in the county where the case was filed.
How to subscribe to CaseAccess
Users can subscribe through the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal.
An active portal account is required, but registration is free. After signing in, users select "CaseAccess Subscription" from the command ribbon to manage their subscription.
The service offers two payment options: $20 monthly or $200 annually. The annual subscription saves $40 compared with paying monthly for 12 months.
