Hillsborough County's annual Hiking Spree returns Nov. 1 with a free kickoff event at Keystone Park in Odessa on Nov. 7.
The 11th season runs Nov. 1 through March 31, 2027, according to the county’s Hiking Spree page. The official kickoff listing schedules the Nov. 7 event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Eastern time, with guided hikes, nature talks, food trucks and outdoor organizations.
Keystone Park's Hawk's Nest Fitness Trail is one of the designated routes, WTSP reported. Visitors at the kickoff can start logging hikes that day.
Hikers who complete at least eight trails by March 31, 2027, earn a limited-edition patch, a walking stick medallion, or a pet bandana. One of the eight can be at a location of the hiker's choice outside the official trail list. The program offered the same rewards during its 2024-2025 season, according to the Hillsborough Soil and Water Conservation District.
