Lutz K-8 School hosts its Curriculum Presentation and Open House on Thursday, August 6, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., according to the school's website.

Grade-level curriculum overviews run from 4 to 4:30 p.m. After that, parents can meet their child's teacher and discuss the year ahead. The PTSA will be set up for shopping and back-to-school prep.

The first day of school for all Hillsborough County campuses is Monday, August 10, according to the district's 2026-2027 academic calendar.

Families looking to get an earlier start can attend the 19th Annual HCPS Back to School Fair on Saturday, August 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Citrus Park Town Center. Free backpacks go to the first 1,000 students. The fair coincides with Florida's Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday.

Classes at Lutz K-8 begin Monday, August 10.
