Lutz club delivers gift cards after apartment fire

The GFWC Lutz-Land O'Lakes Woman's Club delivered Walmart gift cards to Veterans Elementary School after an apartment fire displaced 85 families, the club announced Wednesday, Sept. 2.

Club President Linda Mitchell and First Vice President Pam Blumenthal hand-delivered the cards to Principal Nicole Link and Vice Principal Charlotte Kralik, according to the club's post. The cards are meant to help students and families who lost belongings in the fire.

The club, a Lutz-based chapter of the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC), did not specify the number or dollar value of the cards, the date of the fire, or the name of the apartment complex.

No independent reports of the fire from local agencies or news outlets appeared in public records as of Sept. 3.
