Odessa residents looking for live music and wellness programming have two options at Starkey Ranch Theatre Library Cultural Center in the first week of August.

Caribbean Chillers concert

The Caribbean Chillers, a Jimmy Buffett tribute band, perform Saturday, August 1, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Starkey Ranch TLC, 12118 Lake Blanche Drive, Odessa. Tickets are $13 plus taxes and fees, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the Pasco County Library system's theatre events page. Tickets can be purchased online at pascolibraries.org/events/theatre-events and remain available up to 30 minutes before showtime if not sold out.

Fall-prevention program

The Area Agency on Aging of Pasco & Pinellas launches "A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns about Falls," a free, evidence-based series at the same Starkey Ranch location beginning Wednesday, August 5. Sessions meet on Wednesdays from 1 to 3 p.m. through August 26 and are open to adults 60 and older, according to the Pasco Libraries event listing.
