A free Hispanic heritage festival featuring Latin music, food trucks and bounce houses is set for Oct. 10 at Land O' Lakes Heritage Park.
The Fantastic Hispanic Heritage Festival Celebration starts at 3 p.m. at the park, located at 5401 Land O' Lakes Blvd. The event is open to all ages, according to a WTSP roundup of Hispanic Heritage Month events across Tampa Bay written by Elisabeth Gaffney.
Admission is free.
The festival will feature games, bounce houses for kids, food trucks and booths from local vendors alongside live Latin music.
Heritage Park has hosted similar celebrations before. A 1st Annual Libertad Hispanic Family Festival drew families to the same park in September 2022, featuring the Latin band Aramis Sol Caribe, Miss Latina Tampa folklore dancers, food trucks and a movie under the stars. Julia Hassler of Libertad, Club Hispano Republicano de Pasco, organized that event. A second annual festival followed in 2023 with a live Latin orchestra, folk dances and craft vendors.
The 2026 event carries a different name, and no organizer has been publicly identified. Whether it continues the earlier series or is a separate celebration is unclear.
Hispanic Heritage Month runs from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15. The Land O' Lakes festival is one of several Tampa Bay celebrations during that window, including an Arts Legacy Remix event at the Straz Center on Oct. 9 and the 8th annual Taste of Latino Festival and Empanada Smackdown in Ybor City on Oct. 11.
