Land O' Lakes voters have eight days to cast early ballots for the Tuesday, August 18 primary, with polls opening Saturday, August 8 and running through Saturday, August 15 at 12 locations across Pasco County.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at every site, including the Land O' Lakes Recreation Complex.
The window is shorter than Hillsborough County's, with a 14-day early voting period began Monday, August 3 and runs through Sunday, August 16, according to Bay News 9. Pasco voters who wait until Election Day will vote at their assigned precinct from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Pasco County Supervisor of Elections office said on Facebook that vote-by-mail ballot requests must be received by Thursday, August 6 at 5 p.m. Voters who show up in person need to bring a photo and signature ID.
Florida runs closed primaries, meaning voters must be registered with a party to cast a ballot in that party's partisan races. Nonpartisan contests, including school board and judicial seats, are open to all registered voters regardless of party affiliation. The voter registration deadline for this primary passed Monday, July 20.
