Two suspects are in custody and two more are being sought in a burglary spree that hit about 26 vehicles in Land O' Lakes, Lutz and Wesley Chapel, the Pasco Sheriff's Office announced Monday.

Deputies arrested the pair Sunday after illegal credit card use tied to the break-ins led investigators to them, according to a sheriff's office news release also shared on X. Deputies found stolen items with the suspects when they located them.

The burglaries targeted vehicles on Tapestry Park Drive in Land O' Lakes; Players Circle in Lutz; and Canopy Creek Way, Avalon Park Boulevard and Seaboard Circle in Wesley Chapel, the release said.

Deputies are still searching for two more suspects and working to recover more stolen property, the sheriff's office said.

The agency has not named the arrested suspects, described the two still being sought or said what was stolen.

The sheriff's office posted video on Facebook showing two suspects burglarizing a vehicle in a residential parking lot, WFLA reported.

The sheriff's office called vehicle burglaries crimes of opportunity. It urged residents to follow its nightly #9PMRoutine: remove valuables from the car, especially the key fob, close the windows and lock the doors. The agency says it created the campaign in 2016 after an increase in crimes such as vehicle theft.
