Kathy Castor won reelection to the U.S. House in Florida’s 14th Congressional District, the Associated Press reported, after the Nov. 3 election.

Hillsborough County’s latest election-night report lists 153,586 votes (51.16%) for Castor, 137,599 (45.83%) for Republican Mike Beltran, 8,730 (2.91%) for Libertarian Brian Lambert and 311 write-in votes (0.10%). The report shows all 234 of 234 reporting units for the district. It lists unofficial results and excludes provisional ballots, mail ballots pending signature cure and 10-day overseas ballots. The figures were checked at 12:40 p.m. EST on Nov. 4.

The district was redrawn before the 2026 election, removing St. Petersburg and adding more conservative suburban areas of Hillsborough County, according to Fox 13 Tampa Bay. Castor, who has served in Congress since 2007, previously served as a Hillsborough County commissioner and is ranking member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Energy Subcommittee.

Beltran, a Riverview attorney and Harvard Law School graduate, served in the Florida House from 2018 to 2024. The ballot also included write-in candidates Salomon Hernandez and Keith Varian. The AP called the race for Castor at 8:13 p.m. EST.
