Families looking for fall activities near Land O' Lakes can explore corn mazes, pumpkin patches, hayrides and seasonal produce at three farms in Masaryktown, just north of the Pasco-Hernando county line.
Sweetfields Farm and HarvestMoon Fun Farm are offering fall attractions through Nov. 8, while Upicktopia and Masaryk Winery provide seasonal produce picking, farm-to-table dining and other activities into spring.
All three farms are located near U.S. 41 in southern Hernando County, a short drive from Land O' Lakes.
Sweetfields Farm offers corn maze, hayrides and pumpkin patch
Sweetfields Farm, at 17250 Benes Roush Road, features a corn maze, pumpkin patch, hayrides, farm animals and a pick-your-own garden.
Owners Ted and Lisa Kessel established the farm to introduce their children to agriculture and teach them about growing food, according to NatureCoaster.com. The farm grows produce using organic methods.
This year's corn maze design was inspired by the family's new dog, according to Tampa Bay Parenting. Visitors may also have an opportunity to meet the dog.
Online admission costs $11.95, plus a $1.33 service fee and applicable taxes, bringing the subtotal to $13.28 before tax. Tickets purchased at the gate, when available, cost $14.
Children 2 and younger enter free. Everyone 3 and older needs a ticket.
The farm recommends purchasing tickets in advance because some dates may sell out.
Sweetfields' fall season runs through Nov. 8.

Upicktopia combines fresh produce with farm-to-table dining
Upicktopia and Masaryk Winery, at 19125 Phillips Road, offer a different experience, with seasonal produce picking, a restaurant and a winery.
The family-owned farm, established in 1996, operates Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during its October-to-May growing season.
Admission is free. Visitors pay only for produce they pick, food and other purchases.
The property includes Suzy's Kitchen, a farm-to-table restaurant that opened in 2000, and a winery added in 2015.
Suzy's Kitchen serves brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Regular kitchen hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays.
Seasonal crops include strawberries, lettuce, kale, broccoli and other vegetables, depending on growing conditions and availability.
The property also occasionally hosts live music and outdoor movie screenings, according to its website.
Unlike the two fall festivals, Upicktopia continues its produce-picking season into spring 2027. The winery operates year-round.
Visitors should check each farm's website for current hours, ticket availability and activity schedules before traveling.
