A Land O' Lakes man faces 10 felony digital voyeurism charges after his wife allegedly discovered sexually explicit AI-manipulated images and hidden-camera recordings involving relatives and friends on his phone, according to court documents.
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office arrested Dominick DeMao, 41, on Friday, Sept. 25, WTSP reported.
Court records described two separate cases involving allegations that people were recorded without their knowledge or consent.
Wife allegedly discovered hidden recordings
According to court documents, DeMao's wife found sexually explicit images on his phone that had been generated or manipulated using artificial intelligence and depicted herself, friends and family members.
Those images were separate from the recordings underlying the digital voyeurism charges.
Investigators said DeMao's wife also discovered videos that appeared to show him positioning recording devices in bathrooms, including inside trash cans. Other recordings allegedly showed family members using the toilet, showering or undressing without knowing they were being recorded.
Investigators identified at least nine videos involving three female victims, according to court documents.
In that case, DeMao was charged with nine counts of digital voyeurism and one count of unlawful use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.
Separate case involves September 2025 recording
DeMao faces two additional felony charges in a separate case involving an alleged recording from September 2025, according to WFLA.
Court documents allege a woman was bathing children, including DeMao's daughter, when DeMao positioned a camera underneath her dress without her knowledge.
He was charged in that case with one count of digital voyeurism and one count of unlawful use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.
Combined, the two cases include 10 digital voyeurism counts and two counts involving the alleged unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
Florida law prohibits secret recordings
Florida Statute 810.145 prohibits secretly using an imaging device to view or record someone without that person's knowledge and consent while the person is dressing, undressing or privately exposing the body in a place where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy.
The law also prohibits secretly recording underneath or through another person's clothing without that person's knowledge and consent for the purpose of viewing the person's body or undergarments.
Each alleged recording can constitute a separate offense.
DeMao was booked into the Pasco County Jail following his arrest and later released on bond, according to court records cited by local news outlets.
A judge ordered him to have no contact with the alleged victims.
The charges are allegations. The case had not been resolved as of Oct. 1.
