Free field trips, less screen time, fewer tests: what's new for HCPS families this fall
Hillsborough County Public Schools announced three changes for the 2026-2027 school year affecting Land O' Lakes and Lutz families: free millage-funded field trips for all PreK–8 students, reduced screen time in K–2 classrooms, and the elimination of 82 semester exams for middle and high schoolers.
